Ana is a Senior Associate at Falls Counsel.
As head of Falls Counsel’s Latin America office, Ana Cristina Huerta Munguía leads cross-border initiatives, leveraging her fluency in multinational legal frameworks to advise clients on navigating complex multinational regulatory environments. Ana specializes in venture capital, mergers & acquisitions, and cross-border transactions. With a focus on startups and emerging companies, she provides strategic counsel on corporate structuring, fundraising, and governance to optimize growth while mitigating risk.
Ana has led transactions exceeding $15 million in value, including Series Seed and Series A financings, mergers, and corporate restructurings. Her expertise lies in designing tax-efficient legal architectures for high-growth companies, particularly those expanding between the U.S. and Latin America.
Before joining the firm, Ana served as a mentor and founder of Irrazonables, an accelerator that has secured $500 million in startup funding across 470+ companies. There, she developed standardized investment documentation now used by early-stage investors throughout Mexico’s tech ecosystem. She frequently speaks on venture capital trends and mentors founders through programs affiliated with MIT’s Regional Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program.
Fluent in Spanish and English, she brings a bicultural perspective to transactions, combining rigorous legal analysis with practical business solutions for innovative companies.
